Copper Data Cabling

Copper data cabling is currently the most popular type of cable to use for internal networks.  There is a wide range of choices for copper cabling.  Fast data speeds can be reached with copper cabling that is installed correctly and is used in conjunction with the correct components.

Fiber Optic Cabling

Where copper cabling falls short fiber optics fill the gap.  Copper cable has a maximum distance of 328 feet or 100 meters.  If the distance extends beyond this limitation fiber optics should be implemented.  Fiber optic cable can be bought in many different configurations depending on distance,  environmental conditions, and speed.  Fiber optic cable must be run be a qualified cable system installer due to the delicate nature of the glass fibers.  

Voice Cabling

Depending On your voice system you may or may not need additional wiring.  Products such as Cisco's voice over IP solution or Avaya's integrated voice system solution can run on your existing data cable system.  Traditional style phone systems will require additional cabling for phone lines.  Several types of copper wire can be used for phone system wiring.  You may opt to install cat5 cable for your phone wiring so they can be easily upgraded to voice over IP.

Video Cabling
